Southampton Hospital School is an alternative provision academy that provides hospital education to pupils in Southampton General Hospital and Outreach teaching to pupils within the city of Southampton. We are experts at educating children with medical needs and enabling pupils to reintegrate back into
their usual school.

As a teacher at our hospital school, you will provide personalised, high‑quality education to children and young people aged between 4 and 16 who are receiving medical care, ensuring continuity in their learning during their time in hospital. You will work closely with medical staff, families, and the wider education team to adapt lessons to each student’s needs, creating an encouraging and flexible environment where every learner can thrive despite the challenges they face.
