We are looking to appoint an Emotional Literacy support Assistant with a warm personality and the ability to stay calm under pressure. Candidates should be able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills with children and adults. They will able to build trusting relationships with children who are either externalising or internalising their social emotional wellbeing needs. We are looking to appoint a candidate who has the ELSA qualification, and preferably has Trauma Informed knowledge. They should enjoy learning and have excellent communication skills. They will require the capacity to understand and apply psychological concepts taught in ELSA training and supervision. They should be able to think creatively when planning programmes of support that incorporate variety, interest and pace. Candidates will need to be well organised so they are able to keep succinct records of involvement and progress.
