Governor – All areas

We are looking for skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of local governors to lead and support our education journey. It is an exciting opportunity to become involved in our school communities and improve the outcomes of our children and their families.

Hamwic Education Trust currently has 35 schools covering the South Coast across four local authorities. We serve approximately 12,000 children between the ages of 4 and 16. We are a community based organisation bringing schools together through local partnerships in order to serve their local geographic areas. The Trust was founded on the principle of the academies working collaboratively together for the benefit of our communities and students. Our directors, governors, school leaders and staff take a collective responsibility for academic outcomes and the wellbeing of all our students.

No previous experience as a governor, or working in a school is required, we will support successful applicants to carry out their duties and will provide appropriate training. You will work closely with a team of Governors to support the Headteacher and staff in your appointed school. If you are interested in contributing to your local community within a supportive education setting, we would love to hear from you. For further information please visit our website at www.hamwic.org or contact our Head of Governance and Compliance at louise.newman@hamwic.org
